Mr.Shashanka in his interesting Talk finely explains how rapidly the cities are growing across the world citing the history of Karimnagar Town as an example where he is rendering his services as Collector and District Magistrate. He hints at severe consequences in future, if environment is not protected now. He also presents how Telangana Government is moving towards resilient future with various environment protecting steps like Green Garland Programme, Rejuvenation of water bodies to recharge ground water levels, installation of L.E.D. Street Lights in the towns and many more. A talk which makes us see bright future with clean, safe and green environment. A clear vision of changing the climate change. Mr.Shashanka Konudru is present Collector and District Magistrate, Karimnagar, Telangana Region, India. He is the Civil Servant of 2013 Batch, Telangana Cadre. He rendered his services as Municipal Commissioner, Karimanagar nearly for two years. Later he became the Collector and District Magistrate, Gadwal District, Telangana. Later he was transferred to Karimnagar in the position of District Collector. As a young and dynamic I.A.S. officer he is the role model for the young Civil Services aspirants. His simplicity and skillful administration inspires everyone. Being in the position of Collector and District Magistrate, Karimnagar he is putting lot of efforts to make The Green Garland Programme(Plantation of trees) a great success to have a dense green coverage. He is driving the Government Welfare Schemes with lot of dedication to improve the life of the poor and down trodden. A group of limbless tropical amphibians resembling worms, called caecilians, contains some species whose young come into the world equipped with teeth and feed on their mothers’ skin. Now it turns out those egg-hatched youngsters can also get their mothers to eject a high-fat, high-protein substance from their cloacae — if they make the right clicking noises. People of many faiths embrace the idea of "creation care" - taking care of God's gift of earth. Join Jose Aguto and Tori Goebel to hear how their faith guides their climate action, and how you can build relationships with faith leaders in your community. Tori serves as the National Organizer and Spokesperson for Young Evangelicals for Climate Action. She holds an undergraduate degree in communications and political science from Gordon College (B.A. '16) and a masters of environmental law and policy from Vermont Law School (M.E.L.P. '19). Tori spent 4 years as Communications Director for YECA and the Evangelical Environmental Network, YECA’s partner ministry. Tori was born and raised in New England and currently lives in the Boston area. Catholic Climate Covenant collaborates with Catholic organizations and across sectors to advance the Church's call to love and care for God's creation, our vulnerable neighbors, and all people, including those we may view as adversaries.
